"In 1942 My Grandfather, ALAN BRIAN NORTON-BAKER was transferred from No 39 Squadron to the 459 Squadron. He was part of the first air crew and served with Wing Commander P Howson, Pilot Sergeant N Powell, Navigator and Sergeant N Martin (Wop/A.G.). He completed 51 sorties and 301 combat hours with 459 Squadron until his transfer to No 70 Operational Training Unit at Nakaru, Kenya.

Sadly, Grandpa passed away on the 20th March 21, 2008 in Adelaide.

I know he was a very proud to be a member of the 459 Squadron. I was hoping that I could contact you with the details of his funeral. A small tribute (if appropriate) to his service with the 459 Squadron would be most appreciated."
